Valued Opinions

Just for joining Valued opinions you will go into the draw to win a $500 Ticketek voucher, that can be used to see all your favorite bands, shows or sporting events, so if nothing else it is worth joining just for the prize draw. Surveys at Valued opinions typically pay between $2.00 and $5.00 and up to $50.00 for specialist surveys. I have also been invited to market research discussion panels through Valued opinions and paid up to $75.00 cash. Cash in your Valued Opinions accounts, is then redeemed for gift certificates, from companies such as Woolworths, Hoyts, iTunes, Greater Union, Coles Group and Myer, dStore, Sanity, Dymocks, iSubscribe, Rebel Sports, Bunnings Warehouse, SuperCheap Auto and Oxfam.

Surveys are online pretty much constantly at Valued Opinions and I found myself doing about 1 per day, look out for the $1 for a 5 minute survey, they can quite often lead to being invited to a focus group which are quite a nice earner for very little work.

This is a gem of a survey site and one that I personally love, I’ve been invited to 2 focus groups since I have been with Valued Opinions, one was for beer tasting the other for tasting Scotch Whiskey and filling out a survey on their tastes, I got paid $75 each for these for about 45 works both times, truth be told I would have quite happily done these 2 focus groups for free. On top of this I have also earned a bunch of $20 gift certificates, if you are new to taking surveys and online market research, then I can not recommend this site enough.

In my opinion, one of the best survey sites for Australians. Regular gift certificates + Focus groups.

Hi Mike, I’m in the same boat as you, Valued Opinions is a good site and works for me to.

This site has gone downside recently. I have over $50 completed survey, but not credited. Some of them were over a month old. I have tried to contact the site and only got the standard “refer to the FAQ” which clearly stated that they would credit your account within 28 days.

Also, when you cash your credit, it now takes over 6 weeks to receive your voucher.

This site is getting really suspicious. I will not answer any more surveys from them

Most likely as their site is increasing in it’s memebership base they are only sending out vouchers once a month so 6 week is pretty much a standard wait, I know we all want to get paid straight away, but it just doesn’t happen that way. I’d be interested to know if some of your surveys have now credited?

Be very careful of this panel. They delay crediting your account, sometimes up to 5 weeks. Then it takes another 40 days or more to receive your gift card. Very dishonest.

Hi I am sorry to say but this is pretty much normal with survey sites, if you got instant payment then fraud would be a huge issue. The companies paying for the market research are paying alot to get our opinions so the survey conducting the research has a responisbility to ensure that the results that it collates are legitimate and thoughtful responses. All this takes time and then of course the age old thing, we don’t get paid until they get paid. So unfortunately this is pretty much normal for most sites.

I have been with Valued Opinions for 3 years now, during which I have had a few long hiatuses away from survey taking. The pay rate seems to have gone down to $1.50-$2 per 20 minute survey, so it isn’t really worth my time anymore. The thing that really annoys me about this site is after answering a dozen or so detailed ‘qualifier’ questions, the screen pops up telling me that I don’t qualify for the survey and does not give me any credit. Tonight I spent about 20 minutes on qualifier questions for 3 surveys, and didn’t end up being chosen to complete any of them and I have nothing to show for it. Pure Profile and My Survey give 10 cents for completing the qualifying questions, which I appreciate.

Hi Phoebe, thanks for your comment. I look at surveys as a fun thing to do in my spare time so the extra money is a bonus, if you look at it as a job and what your hourly rate is, then surveys are simply not going to make the cut. I can understand your frustration with the qualifier questions, but companies that are paying for market research are often paying in the tens of thousands of dollars if not more for their results, this means that the market research company has to ensure they are getting quality answers. So yes I understand your frustration, but it is a neccassary evil.

This is the best survey site I’ve found so far, there are enough surveys to get a gift certificate every couple of weeks.
